In other news, I saw Pandorum on Sunday and I had a blast. It was scary, I loved the concepts, and I can't stress just how creepy this movie was. I actually had a nightmare about it which was awesome! Not many movies in the sci-fi/horror genre are actually that good. This was one of the better movies in terms of production values, acting, plot, and concept. I appreciate it when it looks like the movie creators put some effort into the story and visual effects.

I'm also slowly but surely catching up on Smallville, someone on my flist had said season 9 is better and they were right! I've been really enjoying season 8 and so far I'm hooked on the story they set up for season 9 it also helps that I really love the Justice League stuff aka Oliver Queen, Lois Lane, Choloe, the new really really hot guy (played by Brian Austin Green formally of Sarah Conner Chronicles and 90210) and I love Tess. Um I guess Clark is okay but I realized I'm pretty much watching the show for the women and special effects. If someone had asked me four years ago if I could ever love Smallville I would probably have laughed and said no way in hell...not sure what changed since then but I think the story lines are more interesting.

I think I may go exercise and when I get done re-read my paper. Right now my eyes are glazing over the text.

I think I'm so nervous about this assignment because on one of the module activities I lost .25 points out of 2 and I still don't know why? (I wrote to the professor asking what I did wrong so I could do better on the next assignment and I haven't heard back) I also never got an answer as to whether or not the bibliography and appendix counted towards our total page count. (I asked early Friday too)

Seriously, this is not how you're supposed to run an online class...

again if anyone can help me by beta reading my paper I would appreciate it. It's only 10 pages, well technically 12 with bibliography and appendix. I'm barely over the 10 page mark on text...I'm thinking I may need to add some filler. or I'm missing answering something...

I can tell it's the first week after my period. It's like clockwork. I'm irritable, can't concentrate on anything, none of my favorite things keep my interest long.

So tonight instead of moping about the internet I'm going to watch Star Trek (the new movie) or Number3...I hear season 6 has been good so far.

In other news, I finally found a librarian that manages more than one person, that will allow me to job shadow her for 3 hours tomorrow morning, for my midterm paper due this Saturday. I was beginning to worry I wouldn't find anyone in time and I started looking last week! I think maybe I'm dreading my paper this upcoming Saturday but not sure why 10-15 pages really isn't that long when double spaced.

I'm also debating on re-watching Voyager (still need to find torrent) but I'd re-read the Just a Guy Series this week (like in two days because I could not put this story down!) Now I'm kind of interested in seeing Voyager and Highlander again. I'd forgotten just how much I enjoyed the two series. But now that I've finished reading this epic I'm not sure what to read next. (I hate being between stories)

On the work front, it's hard to stay motivated. I'm now learning how to read line edits. The technical writer marks in red ink on projects/reports/tech memos and my boss is the one that normally takes those and makes the changes in Word, however she's leaving for vacation at the end of the month so she's teaching me how to do this and so far I'm sucking at it. I can't read the handwriting 99% of the time and not all the marks make sense. But I figured if I ever get good at this it's one more thing I can add to my resume. My list of things I can do is increasing daily. (I think that's a good thing)

Ultimately, I'm worried that I'll never be truly happy or find a job I enjoy. I can't tell anymore if my lack of happiness makes it harder to enjoy work or if it's my workplace that makes me unhappy.

I don't think ice cream can fix whatever it is that's wrong with me. But I'm going to try.

Okay the mystery is solved sadly not in my favor. :(

Basically, I accidentally went to an out-of-network provider and my insurance would only pay a certain percentage for out of network. Considering the total bill was 900 I'm guessing 260 isn't so bad after all. :( Do all Family Practices charge 275 dollars for new patients?

What further added to the confusion is that I called ahead and asked if I was in network and they misunderstood Alaska Village Electric Cooperative for Alaska Electric Cooperative (which was in network for them) and my insurance website Find a doctor link did not display which doctors were in or out of network so I assumed they were all in-network. :(

What I also found out today is that apparently no clinic in Alaska is in-network for my insurance provider. I have to go to the main hospital for my medical appointments if I want to be in-network.

Basically, at this point they better damn well reform health care so that no matter where you go to be seen you're in network!

In other bad news, got my first bad grade in grad school. It could be worse but basically I misunderstood the directions and only completed 1/4th of the assignment. I did let the professor know what part of the syllabus tripped me up though so hopefully he'll revise it next year. Basically we have to write annotated bibliographies for 4 Units but in the syllabus it says you need 4 articles for the annotated bibliographies and I assumed that meant 1 article per Unit, not 4 articles per unit which is actually what was required. the annotated bibliographies are only worth 25% of my total grade so I think I still have a chance at an A if I don't mess up anything else.

Right now my confidence is a bit shaken, first I feel tricked by the insurance company and their no good website, and then I messed up on my school work.

Going to try and put this behind me and move forward...which is btw easier said than done. But I have Cold Stone ice cream and 2 new episodes of Heroes to watch. Plus a really awesome husband, best friend lovesrain44, and a cool flist. :)

In not so good news. Today I got a bill for 239 dollars from my visit to the clinic to get a pap smear in order to get a new prescription of birth control pills for the year. :(

Tomorrow I'll call and find out what is going on. I've had pap smears and blood tests for cholesterol before and only ever had to pay the 20 dollar copay. Also, I still have not received the results of my blood test either! The total doctor visit, where I never actually saw a doctor, was 900 dollars. That's kind of scary. Should be fun on the phone tomorrow. :(

Thankfully, I found some good fics to read tonight so that helped take my mind off things.
