Hikaru No Go

desynchronization by ontogenesis (Ogata/Sai) INSTANT REC!!! I could not stop reading once I started. I LOVED the character voices, the setup, and how everything came together. To find the story scroll down until you get to the big graphic of Sai and Hikaru.

Star Trek Reboot

On A Day Like This by oxymoronic (Kirk/McCoy) I liked the character voices and the plot. I had a hard time putting this story down!


Refractions by bigmamag (Kirk/Spock) This was fun to read. I loved seeing glimpses into other realities. Some where a bit heartbreaking.


For the Greater Good by meri_oddities (Kirk/McCoy Kirk/Spock Kirk/Uhura) I really liked the concept and the world building.


Love is Strange by garryowen (Kirk/Spock) INSTANT REC!!! I loved that the author took this concept and made it believable! I loved all the touching, the character voices, and the sex was hot.


Making a Living Out of Hope by casspeach (McCoy/Chekov) I really liked the plot, the character voices, and the way the story wraps up. Very well told.


Cowboys Lost At Sea by ayalesca (Kirk/McCoy) This was interesting, I liked the concept, character voices, and it was romantic.

Calling Down the Lightning by dreamwaffles (Sheppard/McKay) INSTANT REC!!! I had a lot of fun reading this story. I loved the concept, character voices, and the ending worked for me.


The Magical Number Seven (Plus or Minus Two) by general_jinjur (Gen) INSTANT REC!!! I could not stop reading once I started. I loved the plot, the character voices, and this was bittersweet in a way but the ending worked for me. wonderful storytelling!


Dark Shadows

Faith in the Atmosphere by lovesrain44 (Willie/Barnabas) This is the final story in the Splinter Verse and this entire series was rather captivating. I loved the character voices and I felt for Willie.

An Offering For Sin by varkelton (sam/dean) INSTANT REC!!! This was incredibly hot and hit just about all of my kinks. I loved plot, the character voices, and it goes without saying I loved the sex in the story.

you must remember this by seperis (Merlin/Arthur) I really loved the imagery and this was interesting.

Star Trek Reboot

Five Times He Said No by hounds_morrigan (kirk/spock/uhura kirk/omc) This was heartbreaking.

"Four Letter Words by reccea (Kirk/McCoy) I had a blast reading this story. I loved each of the five ways and this worked for me.


Art for Cowboys Lost at Sea by ayalesca by axe_togrind I loved how all the elements come together in the wallpaper and cover art for this story. It really makes me want to read the fic more than I did before I saw the artwork, which is awesome. :)

Famous Ghosts of Texas by candle_beck (Sam/Dean) I loved the imagery and this was sweet. :)


The "Kripke Started It" Changing Channels Free For All Meme by gladdecease (Gen) This story came from clex-monkie89's changing channels meme and this story was short and fun. :)

But, to me by tetsubinatu (Merlin/Arthur) I really liked the concept. :)

Age of Minority by bluflamingo (Sheppard/Mitchell) I loved the concept and Cameron's character voice.


Quality of Memory by dossier (Sheppard/Mitchell) This was a fun action adventure story with robotics.


Torchwood

The Doctor And Mr. Jones by sam_storyteller (Jack/Ianto) I had a blast reading this story! I loved the plot, the character voices, and I could not stop reading until I had finished.

edit: this is just to add that this story does not have a happy ending and it's not really a Sheppard/McKay fall in love type of story. Forgot to add that warning the first time.



In other news, work has been very busy lately! I'm also re-watching a lot of Star Trek the Next Generation, I'd forgotten just how good it is even with the out of date special effects.

The Ones You Leave Behind by taste_is_sweet (Sheppard/McKay) INSTANT REC!!! This was disturbing, heartbreaking, and wonderfully captivating! I was on the edge of my seat through most of the story. I also really loved the sci-fi elements.

Out Of Bounds by icarusancalion (Sheppard/McKay) INSTANT REC!!! I had a blast reading this story. I LOVED the concept, character voices, the imagery was vivid and I could really see all the details of the figure skating arenas. It took me about a week to read but it was worth it. :)

Right Where I Belong by flawedamythyst (Sam/Dean) I loved this alternate ending to It's a Terrible Life. The character voices were spot on, the sex was hot, and I had a wonderful time reading this story.

This was the perfect sequel to Black Helicopters at Dawn. At this point you should be at the story and reading. I haven't given a story an F5 rating in ages!


Mouthpiece by rheanna27 (Sheppard/McKay) I really liked the concept and the sex was hot.


Born on a Morning by taste_is_sweet (Sheppard/McKay) I love this verse and this was a good addition. I loved seeing how the other Seven integrated into Atlantis as a human.

In other news, Rottentomatoes is saying Transformers Revenge of the Fallen sucks (okay I think it's at 22%...)

I already have tickets for tomorrow night so I'll just have to wait and see. I tend to like Michael Bay movies (Armageddon being one of my favorite and Pearl Harbor)

But it's starting to look like out of the four movies I most anticipated this summer Star Trek is going to be the best of them. Terminator Salvation while entertaining did not entice me back into the theaters, X-Men drove me away after I saw the leaked version, and Transformers isn't really hitting it off with the critics. I've seen Star Trek twice already because I really enjoyed the movie.

Guys! this makes no fucking sense! these movies had the money, the talent! and except for Star Trek they all kind of bombed rating wise. JJ Abrams if I remember correctly mostly directed tv right??? I don't get why the other directors who I assume have had some previous experience directing a movie could not make a good movie? Who wrote the scripts and approved them? I really wanted these movies to be awesome and kick ass (like Star Trek did) and instead they produced crap. I'm still holding out hope that I'll enjoy Transformers hell I'd probably go see it if it had a 8% rating. I think Underworld 2 had a 12% and we still went and saw that. I LOVE action movies it's just sad that the ones that should be good (talent and money not being an issue) turn out bad.

Thankfully, other movies (Up, Hangover) have come along that made up for an otherwise crappy quality of summer movies.

Um I also have the sniffles. okay that's it's for now. :)

Moths on the Mirror by fleshflutter (Sam/Dean) INSTANT REC!!! I read this story some time ago and I still loved it just as much on the second read as I did the first time. :) I loved the character voices, the MOW, the setup, and the story really worked for me.


Forever Am I by finn21 (Jared/Jensen) I liked this story.


Once as Soft as Water by lustmordred (Sam/Dean) I liked the imagery, character voices, and how this plays out.


Vow by whereupon (Sam/Ruby/Dean) I liked Dean's pov and the imagery.


Twist and Turn 'Til You've Got it Right by lotrabc (Sam/Dean) This was incredibly funny and hot and a ton of fun! :)


Thirty Miles by whereupon (Sam/Dean) I loved the character voices, the imagery, and I loved the plot.
